What does a Palestinian build after genocide? What comes after all the rage, all the grief? How do we build after the rubble?

If you have followed me long enough, you know that my main obsession has been liberation. I was imprisoned, exiled, and nearly assassinated for it. You might also know what I do really, really well: I put seemingly separate trends together, and I look at the big picture and I ask, where is this heading? What does this look like? What comes next? And more importantly, what should we do about it?

Now, we're living through a structural transition, a historical one. The US empire is in collapse. Global institutions and elites are losing legitimacy. The genocide is further exposing the bankruptcy of this world system. Meanwhile, capitalism is running into its own limits. And AI is a civilization-changing technology. Now, these are not separate emergencies — it's one historical process. And this demands strategic clarity and moral clarity.

The problem is that most political media keep us trapped inside the permanent now, inside the news cycle. So they tell us what's happening, and it's emergency to emergency, but we don't get to see what it means or how the dots are connected. But liberation does not happen at the speed of the news cycle. What we really need to do is zoom out — to see the arc of history and to imagine the future. Because if we cannot see the arc, then how are we going to exercise our agency within it?

This is why I am really glad today to be announcing Kulna. Kulna is Arabic for "all of us," and Kulna is an independent, member-supported media platform built for this historical transition. On Kulna, we'll be using current events to understand the big picture — where we're heading, what we should do next — and we'll be doing it with humanity, intellectual rigor, moral clarity, and a focus on collective liberation and system change.
